Sweet Dreams

I've mentioned that we're redecorating the living room, and now that the room is nearly complete, we're moving on to another: the bedroom. After weeks of looking at paint colors, eyeing bedding online, and changing my concept about eleventy-billion times, I've finally decided on a look that I really love. Our main concern was balancing my need for girly accents with Bryan's need for as gender-neutral a look as possible, and this is what I came up with.


And yes, I put this image together all by myself. Thank you, InDesign!

The main bedding is from Target, and in the photos it looks decidedly gray, but it's got more brown in it in person. At the moment I'm working with an Etsy seller to quote the custom shams and pillows, and I'm considering ordering some half yards of the fabric so that I can match yarn for a hand-knit blanket. We'll do white curtains, I know that for sure, but art and other little elements like that are still up in the air. And, our current furniture is still a hodgepodge of mine and his, but we have looked at headboards and nightstands in dark brown wood that we both like. We'll be painting and getting the linens this summer, but the other stuff is down the road, I think. :-)
